What We Haul

From time-sensitive materials to heavy equipment and vehicles, Centex Transport runs a Ram 3500 one-ton dually with a fifth wheel / gooseneck hitch and a 40’ gooseneck with megaramps (26,000 lb capacity), plus a Chevy 1500 with a 20’ tilt-deck car hauler and winch.

Hotshot & Gooseneck

Ram 3500 one-ton dually, fifth wheel or gooseneck hitch, with a 40’ gooseneck flatbed and megaramps — built for loads up to 26,000 lbs. Faster than traditional LTL for time-critical freight, machinery, pallets, and equipment that needs a heavy deck and easy ramp loading.

Flatbed Loads

Oversized pallets, steel, lumber, pipe, and cargo that won’t fit in a dry van. Strapped, blocked, and tarped to DOT standards — matched to the right trailer for the job.

Direct & Dedicated

Your freight, our truck — no terminals, no handoffs. One driver from pickup to delivery with real-time updates and a single point of contact.

Vehicles & Equipment Moves

Chevy 1500 paired with a 20’ tilt-deck car hauler and winch — ideal for cars, light trucks, ATVs, small equipment, and anything that needs a gentle load angle or a winch assist.

Why Direct Carrier Matters

No Middleman Markup

Many brokers add a significant markup on top of carrier pay. Working direct with an owner-operator keeps more of your freight spend on the truck and the miles.

Faster Response

No quoting queues or broker back-and-forth. Text “Hotshot” and get a real answer within minutes, not hours.

Accountability You Can Name

One driver, one truck, one phone number. When you call Centex, you’re talking to the person behind the wheel — not a dispatcher three states away.

Fully Insured & Compliant

USDOT registered, FMCSA-authorized motor carrier with active cargo and liability coverage. Our drivers hold CDLs, are subject to random drug testing, and carry TWIC cards for secure-facility access when the job requires it. Documentation available on request.

Common Questions

What is hotshot trucking?

Hotshot trucking uses heavy-duty pickup trucks (typically a Class 3–5 dually) pulling a flatbed trailer to move time-sensitive or partial loads. It’s faster and more flexible than waiting for a full semi load.

What can you haul?

Construction materials, machinery, steel, pipe, lumber, palletized freight, and heavy equipment on the Ram 3500 dually with 40’ gooseneck and megaramps (up to 26,000 lbs). We also move cars, light trucks, ATVs, and smaller equipment on a Chevy 1500 with a 20’ tilt-deck car hauler and winch. If you’re not sure, text us a photo.

Are you a broker?

No. Centex Transport is an owner-operator direct carrier. Your freight moves on our truck — no middlemen, no re-brokering.

Do you have insurance and authority?

Yes. We are USDOT registered and FMCSA-authorized with active cargo and auto liability coverage. We can provide a certificate of insurance on request.

What about your drivers?

Our drivers hold commercial driver’s licenses (CDLs), are enrolled in a random drug-testing program, and carry TWIC cards for access to secure ports and related facilities when needed.

How fast can you pick up?

Depending on location and current schedule, same-day and next-day pickups are common in the Central Texas area.

How do I verify your DOT and authority?

Look up USDOT 4451038 on the FMCSA’s SAFER system — same data insurers and shippers use. Open our carrier snapshot on FMCSA SAFER (opens in a new tab).

Can I get a certificate of insurance (COI)?

Yes. We can provide a certificate of insurance listing your company as certificate holder when you’re ready to book — text or call with your load details and RMIS/insurance contact if your team uses one.

When are you available?

Text and phone are the fastest way to reach us. If you message outside business hours, we’ll reply as soon as we’re back on the road or at the desk — for urgent loads, say so in your text.
